What Home Means to Me

Home is not just a place with four walls and a roof, It’s not just a place where we move to lose the truth that we choose. Home to me is more than the bricks and the cement, Home to me is where I I live in a brood, the place where we all are so fond, Home is where memories are made, Where laughter and love never fade. It's where we find comfort and peace, Where fear can leave, And where joy can come. Home is where we're surrounded by love, Where we're given a push and a shove. Home is where we're taught right from wrong, Where we learn to look both ways. Home is where we find out who’s going to show us, and the mentors who are going to lead us. Home is where we learn how to cook and to not be a crook. Home is where we feel acceptance, Where we learn to be good and not to get a jail sentence. Home is where we find our trophies on the shelf, and where we find our height on the scale. Home is where our heart’s are, Home is where we'll always stay. Home is where love and family will rest, Home is where we’ll always be our best. So that's to the home that we love so dearly, May it always be filled with our love and family. May it be a place where we always find peace, And to all a place that they can call home.
