Home
Home is a place where I can always go
If I feel kind of sad or alone.
My house holds family pets and fabulous friends
That I would trust to the end
Alas home is not always where you thrive
It can be library or school where you truly are alive.
But I love my home much more its dogs waiting by the door
And puppy toys on the floor.
Home is the fireplace with heat on my toes
Waiting to see if Santa Claus knows.
Home is a itchy Christmas sweater on me
Beside my loving family.
Home is music to my tiny ears
Celebrating memories through the years
From when I was born to now
Home deserves a standing ovation and a bow.
And for those without a place
I hope the money helps them have a space.
