A Home I Can Call My Own

I want a place to call my own, a decent, loving and caring home. A place to celebrate Halloween, a place to eat candy until we’re green. A place where it is neat and clean, A place where feelings can be seen. A place to celebrate Christmas, A place to dine on Christmas Eve, With cousins, parents, and family, That's what home means to me. A place that's not too hot or too cold, Just a place where love is Bold. A place to have the perfect vacation, A place to pass around an invitation. A place to celebrate a heart warming day, A place to celebrate Valentine's Day! A place where people care about each other, A place to pass a valentine, from child to mother. A place to watch T.V. A place where home is happy, A place to watch movies that are sad, happy, and sappy. A beautiful yard behind the backdoor, A place where there will not be war. A place where we can honor those have fallen A place to hear the spirits calling. That's what home means to me, A place that is emotionally Me. A place where at the end of the day, You can be calm and just say: “This is the place To celebrate today” Thank you, Homes for Humanity. I hope everyone finds the place, Where love puts a smile On everyone’s face.
