What home is to me
What home is to me?
Home is a place where we can laugh and play,
where you go to bed during the night and are awake during the day,
Home is more than just a roof and four walls,
It’s when memories are made.
When sometimes your mood is lighter than darker.
When my grandpa wakes up early in the morning and makes that famous porridge and that fried dumpling.
But I’m always satisfied because it’s better than nothing. t’s when we celebrate the birth of Christ and his resurrection after he was crucified.
It’s where family is never rejected,
where we all feel protected,
where we feel loved and cared about.
Home is where love for each other grows like a flower sprout.
Where I am being guided on the right route.
Where me and my household watch wrestling almost every Friday.
Where me, my cousin and brother wrestle and play.
Where every summer me, my cousins and my sibling can go in the pool and have a BBQ.
Where on the new year we get to shout hip hip hooray!
Where we have fun with family and friends on my birthday. Where sometimes on special nights I’ll go in my cousins’ room and watch the fire works from outside at Clifton hills. Where everyone is always trying to make it work.
Where me and my brother love to tease and call each other names.
Where as the days goes by, we grow our love for one another,
Where my grandma and grandpa can be trusted by me,
Where we do pranks and make messes like the elf on the shelf.
That is what home to me.
Thank you!
