Meaning of home

My home is not my house. By: Aline Tessier 6ème année École élémentaire LaMarsh Niagara Falls My home is not where my house is, my home is where I am happy, sad, angry, confused and loved. My home is where I can enjoy snacks, where I can laugh and make jokes. Home Is where I make new inside jokes with people I love. My home is not just where a house is, my home is wherever my friends, animals or anything I love are. My home can be school, at my friend’s house or anywhere I am comfortable happy and loved. Sometimes my home can even be where I get in fights or arguments, even somewhere I can get sad and emotional, where I can make up with the people I love. One of the best things about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back. My house is made of bricks and beams, but my home is made of my hopes and dreams. My home is where we do second chances. We do real. We do mistakes. We do I’m sorrys. We do loud really well. We do hugs. And best of all We do together. I will never be completely at home again, because part of my heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price I pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place. My home is not just one place.
