The Meaning of Home

I'm the home to a crazy family. The grandma is half deaf, you have to scream for her to hear you. Oh and, don't get me started on the brother. He always screams and watches “his famous YouTubers” (they're not famous). Then he would play the strongest battlegrounds and then scream and then get his tablet taken away. The sister is always on her phone and talking with her friends and the mom and grandma are always cooking in the kitchen and making delicious food for us to eat. The brother never eats the food because he only likes chicken nuggets. This is one of the best families that have lived in me. I am happy to see them doing things together. I see their love for each other. I hear loving words like the kids saying “thank you”. So the meaning of home is somewhere where you feel safe. It does not have to be your home, it can be your school, your friend's house, and your after-school program. The meaning of home is somewhere where you feel safe and loved and you feel that you matter.
