Where I Belong
Home is more than just stones and concrete,
It is the people that make it lovely and sweet.
Home is where I always feel the love inside,
So there is nothing I won't know or hide.
Home is pictures and drawings hanging on the wall,
Like markers drying on the paper
At home I play hide and seek with my brothers,
We always see each other bursting into laughter.
Home smells and tastes like my mom’s cookies
It feels like my cozy PJs.
Home is my very own shield,
Like something I will hide from.
Home is where I belong,
It matters because it makes me brave.
I hear so much noise,
Like everyone being so crazy.
Thank you Habitat For Humanity for building houses for all,
Where all can have a home where they belong.
