Home

A home is where you love one another like when your siblings are sad and need love, love them, give them a hug, tell them it's all right. Home is where you feel joy, like when you are helping your mom bake cookies. Home is where you feel peace like saying a blessing before eating your supper. Home is when you feel blessed like when your mom tucks you in to bed every night. Home is when you feel warm and safe like when you have a movie night or play hide and seek. A home is when you see your family all around you and you feel loved. Home is when you see your mom cooking supper or your dad cutting the grass. Home is when you see friends. A home is when you smell moms' cookies baking in the oven. Home is when you taste supper made with love for you and your family. A home is when you smell freshly cut grass or fresh air outside. A home is when you hear food boiling on the stove or your siblings running around. A house can be easily forgotten but a home will never be forgotten. A home is better than a house because a home creates memories, and a house cannot. Thank you, Habitat for humanity for giving lots of kids all across Canada a chance to write to help inspire other kids and give money.
