Meaning of Home
To me the meaning of home is when I feel the cold wind gently touching my face and cold snowflakes melting on my nose, seeing the frosty trees or the view of the mountains. When I come home from school I feel my dog's fur soft and golden, in the morning I see the sunrise slowly rising up. I smell the burning scent of bondfires, also the fresh smell after it rains. I see the meteor showers downfall in the sky as before that I see the sunset. The smell of hot chocolate in February and the cooling taste of candy canes on Christmas. The taste of sour cherry’s in the summer picked straight from the cherry tree in the front yard and freshly picked rhubarb from the ground. The smell of fresh jelly donuts straight from the oven and latka’s golden brown coming straight out of the pan on Chanukah. Traveling to different places where the weather is warm and the sand at the beach is soft while the crashing waves carry me as I count them. It’s where I can feel safe and be myself while being with people I love.
