Home is Where the Heart is

Home is where memories are made, Where board games are played. It is a place of laughter and love. A place where stories are shared, And everyone cares. A place of comfort and peace, Where worries and stress cease. Home is where lessons are learned, Where allowances are earned. Home is a place of freedom, Our own personal kingdom. Home is a place of warmth and security, A place of love and humanity. So, when asked what home means to me, I ponder and imagine my favourite memory. In 5 simple words, here is what I’ll say, Home is where I’ll stay. When times get tough, And the waters are rough, I’ll stay at home. I’ll stay at home, And sit with the front yard garden gnome. I’ll read a book, And maybe I’ll cook, Where ever I go, Whatever I do, I’ll always come home to be with you.
