What Home Means to Me
What Home Means to Me
For me Home is not just a place, it is somewhere you can go to feel
unconditional love from family and friends. It is somewhere you can go to take the weight off your shoulders, and to take deep breaths and relax, and cuddle up with my loved ones while watching television by the warmth of the fireplace.
In the backyard it's beautiful, the wind blowing through my hair and dogs barking at the neighbors. My dogs are a big part of my home without them i dont what to call it.
On Fridays I watch a movie with the ones I cherish most. The room I know is there when I need to be alone. Home is where I sit at the dinner table frustrated about my school work, or if I'm anxious about a test.
In the summer just across the road there is a beach that makes me feel like I can swim forever. Home is where our memories will be held and the giggles and laughs we shared at my home is something like the saying you had to be there to experience it.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving this opportunity to children across Canada.
