My Safe Space

Can you imagine having a hard day at school and coming home and everyone is so kind and loving, That it makes the bad day fade away. This is how I feel when I walk into my house. My house feels like the safest space on earth. I think it is the safest space because my family is in my house. Everyone in my family has my back. For example when I fall they help me get right back up by helping me. Another reason I feel safe at home is because my family always loves me. Whether I am naughty or a good girl they love me the same way. In my house my family is always kind to me. For example when my parents and brother help me with my school work. This makes me feel more confident and stronger when I leave the house. Also our family time is joyful and fun. At dinners everyone is always laughing and making jokes. Another reason my house feels so safe is because we can talk about our religion and jewish tragedies like October 7th 2023. This makes me feel sad but also curious and supported in what's going on in the world. Another thing we do as jews is a Friday night dinner which brings the whole family together. All the girls light candles, and say a blessing.then one of the boys at the table says a blessing for the wine. We then eat challah and have a meal.that makes me feel safe with my family. Lastly, I feel safe when we celebrate each other's successes. We take wine glasses with soda to make toasts of celebrations. For example if someone wins a contest it feels like we all win. It doesn't matter where my house is or what it looks like, I feel at home as long as I'm with my family.
