Home
Did you know 62% of homeless people in Canada are males and 30% of Canadian homeless come from indigenous communities. I want to fight for people to have a home as great as mine. At my home I feel safe, I'm happy and I'm loved.
Home is a place that makes me feel safe. At my home I have my siblings to make me feel safe. They make me feel safe because they protect me, they protect me because when I am scared, they tell me I am ok and that makes me feel safe. I don't only feel safe, I feel happy.
I feel happy with my family. When I am with my family, I am happy because I am having a good time. I'm having a fun time because me and my family are laughing and talking about our day. When my family are all having a good time, I am too because no one is mad or sad. When someone in my family is sad or mad, I am not having a good time. Home is more than just feeling happy, it is also where I feel loved.
I feel loved because my family makes food for me, and my family will help me with anything. My family will make me something to eat, and my family will help me with my homework. Sometimes when I do not know the question my family will be there to try it with me. This is what “I feel at home” home feels like to me.
After reading this I hope you'll help me find homes for people where they will feel safe, happiness, and love. Just like the home I have.
