Home
Not everyone in the world has a safe place to live. In the last year there has been a really big increase in homelessness in Canada. I am really lucky to have a place I can call mine. My home gives me a sense of safety, learning, and comfort. That's what I will be talking about today.
Home is the place where I feel safe. Home is like a place with a million bars around it. No one can get in. My parents make enough money to give me a home in a safe neighborhood that doesn't have that much violence.
Home is also a place where I learn. I learned how to skate when I was two. You actually learn at least five things at home every day. People think learning is boring, but if you're learning something new, you can use it later in life, like at a job, or at home. My home is like a giant brain full of cells ready to be used to learn.
Home is the most comfortable place in the world. My home is like a place of triple blankets, cushions, pillows, sheets, and stuffies. It's so comfortable. Blankets, cushions, pillows, sheets, and stuffies are comfy, but comfort comes from the people you love. My home is like a burrow full of sweet, cute, cuddly bunnies all around me.
Home is so special to me and I'm so grateful to have a place to feel safe, learn a bunch of new things, and a really comfy home. But it still kills me to know that not everyone can have a place to call mine. That is what home means to me.
