Meaning of Home

Have you ever wondered what home meant to you? Hello, I’m Emery and I’m going to be explaining what home means to me and some information about homelessness. Firstly, Love. I absolutely love it when my dog comes to greet me at the door from a sports game or a friend’s house or even just a long day at school. I also love it when my dog wakes me up every morning and jumps on my bed and licks my face. My parents also give me so much love and attention. Secondly, something that is important to me when I think of home is family for example every Sunday, I go visit my grandparents and my aunts and uncles and cousins come Aswell and we have a homemade dinner and watch football together. Another example is every Friday me and my family usually play a boardgame or watch a movie with popcorn also when I think of home I think of my mom and dad’s tacos they are very good, and I crave them every day. Home to me is having fun for example playing boardgames or video games with your parents or siblings or my personal favorite playing sports outside with friends in your neighborhood. Even just throwing a ball or toy to your dog. Having fun does not always have to be playing something Though for example you can make cookies or a treat you like with your loved ones. Also, I don’t know about you but another really important thing that makes a home is memories for example cooking or sewing something with your grandma or making a homemade gift for someone it feels so great once you finish it. Another topic I would like to talk about is homelessness First of all there is over 235,000 homeless people just in Canada its scary having no place to stay, and being cold and sad plus having to beg for money just to stay alive must be scary especially because I have seen some homeless people get treated pretty bad when they ask people for money. But there is some really nice people out there who give money to homeless people and make their days better most of it is on social media and they change their lives around by giving them apartments, buying them groceries, visiting, them and even taking them to sports games. In conclusion I hope I helped you learn a little bit about what home means to me and the word home and homelessness in general.
