HOME: Where Love Flourishes
Home is a place where me and my family live, my brother, my mom, my dad, and me,
where memories are treasured and love is shared with the ones we love.
Home is where my dad teaches me right from wrong and where my mom’s love
surrounds me, where sibling rivalry forms the foundation
of love and respect for my older brother.
Home is a place where friends gather: to talk or to play games, where close
or distant relatives gather for celebrations, where we catch up on time lost.
Home is a place, where at the end of the day we gather to pray, expressing our
sorrows and joys, as a family united by love and prayer
Home is where my mom makes my favourite, chili chicken and rice, and my
brother’s favourite, gobi manchurian (fried cauliflower covered in lots of sauce), where
we gather around the dinner table to eat and talk about our day.
Home is where I feel safe, a place where if I am scared I know that these walls
will protect me, a place where if I feel afraid I know my family is always there
for me.
Home is Superman coming to save the day when I’m having a rough time, it’s a
giant teddy bear that envelopes it’s gentle, furry hands around me in a warm
and cozy embrace
Home is not just four walls and a roof, it’s where love is the foundation, my dad’s
wise words, the brick, my mom’s cozy, warm hugs, the insulation, my brother’s help
and advise, the frame, where one, small family is connected by a 1000 hearts
where the words love and family mix together to make one word,
HOME.
