What is Home?

Home is a place where you inhale all the aroma’s of your kitchen when it’s time to eat. Either a nice pure scent or a cinnamic fragrance. It can be a new smell or it can bring back memories of the past, like the smell of your grandma’s fresh batch of cookies. It might also be the smell of your clothes after a nice wash. Soft smells are stunningly savoring and sweet smelling scents to sniff. Home can bring back memories. The feeling of a soft blanket your grandmother made you or a rough teddy bear you gave to your dog on his birthday. Some people like cuddling up with a silky blanket. I fall asleep at night and my bed is as hard as a rock but when I wake up in the morning, I have to peel myself off my bed because it’s too comfy. You hear people talking in the kitchen. You can hear many things in a home like the harmonic sound of the fire in the fireplace can make you relaxed and calm. Some music in the background to sooth you. There are many sounds you recognize in your home because you may have lived in it for years, like a creaking door or the humming of the washing machine. Glass, wood, bricks and more. The counters can look smooth and silky or an ancient grandfather clock is dark and old looking. Just by looking at it, a nice meal on the table might make your mouth start to water. A beautiful view of a sunset over the mountains and trees with plenty of bird nests high up in the tangled branches to feast your eyes on through a tall, glass window.
