The Meaning Of Home
To me, home means not dressing up fancy. Home means being comfy, and curling up with a soft blanket, while watching an exciting movie. Home means coming home from a long road trip and being excited to flop onto your own bed that you haven’t felt in a week. Home is where you can be who you want to be, and not worry about what other people think of you. Home is where we forgive each other. Home is when you go to your parents room after having a bad dream. Home is when you are going on a drive and say, “Bye house”, even though you’ll see it in a few hours. Home is where you can be playful and messy. Home is even where you can pretend that your mom vacuuming is a monster trying to eat you! Home is where you can act two years younger than you actually are. Home is where you can eat dinner messy, and not worry if there is anything on your face or in your teeth. Home is where your parents can nag you about doing your chores. Home is where you can go through old photo albums and see how cute you were when you were 5 years old. Home is where you can play your parent’s old video games, and either beat them or lose against them. A house is just a lot of stuff, but a home is where you can be loved. Home means family.
