There's Nothing Quite Like Home

When I look up “home” in the dictionary, this is what it says: “Home- the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.” But home means so much more than just that! When my parents talk about home, sometimes, they don't mean the house. They’re talking about where they grew up, which is in another province, because that’s where their family is. That makes me realize that home is about family. I feel the same about my home, where I grew up. To me, home is a place that gives you a feeling of belonging. At the end of the day, when I approach my house, I have a feeling of comfort in my heart. This is because I have someone who listens to my stories of the day, I can relax, and I feel like there’s just less stress at home! Home takes the weight of the world off my shoulders, because the point of a home is a place that gives you comfort, and where you can be yourself. Everybody should have a place like that. Everybody needs a place where someone is waiting for them with a hug. Everyone should have a place where they can feel safe, and the world just doesn’t feel so scary anymore. That’s why I wrote this. I wrote this because I think everyone deserves a HOME.
