The Meaning of Home

To me, the meaning of home is anywhere that you feel safe. At home, you can share your feelings without having to worry about people laughing at you. Sometimes it maybe where your family is. Although it can be many different places or just one, it does not have to be a certain size. It can be very big or very small or even right in the middle. For me it is my family. Home is my family because pretty much wherever I go someone in my family comes with me. It may seem like “How can your family go to school or camp with you?” Well, for me my family is not just the people, it is something about each person that makes them family. You can’t see it, but they are in my heart and that I carry everywhere I go. Each member in my family has something that makes them feel like home to me. For example, my labrador retriever Kitty likes to put her warm head on or near my feet and gently whines. That is how she shows that she cares. Even when I'm not with her, I treasure those moments with her, and they make me feel safe and at home.
