Meaning of Home

A house is where the breath of many are poisoned with fear, hatred and eternal suffering. A home is where the people who once lived in poison are held in the arms of safety. A house can be burnt to the ground by a fire so easily, yet the greatest damage done to a home is that of a ripple in an ocean. A house can hold a father who is that of a demon to his children, one who treats them like they are paper puppets he can rip up whenever he wants to, but a home will hold a father who will be there for his children, a father who cares for his children like they’re true gifts. A house can hold a mother who couldn’t care less about her children, who leaves them to starve, a home holds a mother who will care for her children, who will make sure their safety and life is her number one priority at all times. A house can hold a daughter who is always put last, whose life is swept away like used confetti, a home will hold a daughter who is cared for, who will never be put in danger. A house can hold a son who is used as a punching bag for his parents, an object to take their anger out on, a home will hold a son who’s safety will never be disregarded, who will forever be important to those around him. A house ‘nor a home has to hold all these roles and lives, some houses hold the happiest souls, some don't have fathers, mothers, daughters, sons. Sometimes, a home doesn't have anyone but yourself within it, sometimes it’s just a place. In any case, a house will never rival a home.
