The Meaning of Home

Home is a place where you can visit with your family and friends. It's a place where you feel safe and cozy. For me, it is where I smell my favorite food, sleep, and play Fortnite. When I walk in the door after school my dog runs straight to me to warmly welcome me. Some people are not as fortunate as me and have to live on the streets, in tents or in sleeping bags with insufficient food or water. They don't have heaters or security so they may get beat up or robbed. Some people volunteer to help build homes for others and are involved in the community. Helping others makes you feel good because it helps others boost happiness and so they have more confidence in themselves. You can also volunteer by donating to your local food bank so people can have a warm meal and something to eat. Habitat for Humanity provides security and a warm home to sleep in. It also helps bring communities together to help families build strength. Habitat for Humanity helps families get affordable homes for them. Habitat for Humanity is important because it helps people who need a home they can afford.
