What Makes a Home

Home is a place where I bake cookies and share love. Home is a place where I am protected from the scary world beyond. A place where I share kindness with my siblings. Home is a place where I am proud of myself. A place where I can sleep on my cozy, comfortable bed. Home is where I’m trusted, and feel confident in achieving my hardest goals. Home is when I share stories and laughter by a campfire at the tip of midnight. A place where I feel safe and loved wherever I go. Home is when I come down for breakfast and see a warm and healthy meal just for me. A place where I feel special and cared for. Home is a place that when I walk to my house I feel safe to walk inside. A place where I share memories with my beloved. We should be thankful that we have a warm shelter to live in Home is a place where I can be myself. A place where, when I get hurt, someone will always be there to help me. Always be thankful for what you have. Just remember not all people have what you have.
