Meaning of Home

There is a difference between a house and a home. A home isn't just a roof over your head. A home is a place where you can feel love and wanted. It's the smell of the food cooking in the kitchen, playing with your pet, making memories with your family or feeling comfortable in your bed. I think everybody should get a chance to experience these little moments that end up making your life a whole lot different. A house doesn't have to be big and fancy to be a home. A home is built on love, comfort and family. When you have that, a home can be anywhere. A house is like a nutshell and you are the nut! A nut has a few layers that just peel off when you open it and that is like a family that comforts the nut inside the nutshell. When the nutshell opens, that is like the nut getting some space and comfort. The nut’s family (the layers) will peel off, leaving it some room. Your house is your nutshell and your family is just the part that make it a home. I hope that what I wrote inspires someone or helps them make a house into a home.
