My Safe Space
My home is my safe space. My home is a place of comfort, love, joy and support. At a glance, a home is just four walls and a door, but take a look inside and there is so much more!
Home to me is my mom's homemade cooking. Her crispy, crunchy chicken on my plate beside my sticky, white rice. She is such a wonderful cook!
Home to me is my dad and me watching the television as we cuddle together eating mom's delicious meal.
Home to me is my older sister, Alivia trying to teach me how to play soccer, but even though I'm not really good that's ok because my family makes me push myself to my limits.
Home to me is my little sister Alyse, teaching me ALL her plushies names. But even though I never remember their names she makes me laugh and I'm thankful for that.
Home to me is family and love. Hugs and kisses and all of the above! It's not all about the food, television, soccer games or plushies names. It's about the family and how they make you feel.
I would like to thank Habitat for Humanity for this incredible opportunity for all grade 4-6 students all around Canada. Thank you so very much!
