Home to Me

Home to me is the times that I cherish and love. Home to me is when my family is around the island counter cutting out and filling perogies. We make potato, cheese and bacon and blueberry. Home to me are times when my family and I have movie night. Home to me is when my two sisters and I play together. Home to me is the celebrations on big and small achievements. Home to me is preparing the charcuterie board with greasy prosciutto, cheese, and lots more. Home to me is eating the charcuterie while watching Big Brother. Home to me is the times I spend with my family. Home to me is eating juicy steak with chimichurri on top with a side of creamy, mashed potatoes. Home to me is when my older sister and I fight about the weirdest things (it's not the best but it wouldn't be home without it). Home to me is playing school with my little sister and me being the teacher. Home to me is when I got my double pirouette and my family cheering me when I got it after dance! Home to me is when my mom, 2 sisters and I waiting for my dad to come down the street in his voltage truck coming home. We will stand on the front yard until we see him. When he gets out, we give him a big hug!! Home to me is getting ready for a dance competition. Home to me is sleeping with my sister on weekends. Home is not just four walls, a floor and a roof. It is memories and love. Home is a safe space and family. Everyone deserves to have a home, poor or rich. NO one should go one day without a home.
