My Safe Place

Home is a place where love hugs me tight and doesn't let go. Home is a place of belonging, I feel appreciated, and no one can judge me for being me. Home is where my family and I all curl up and watch TV on the couch. It wouldn't be my home if we didn't have dance parties all day! Home isn't just a structure, its what's inside that counts! I feel supported and safe in my home. It is welcoming to everyone all day every day! Home is me laying in my cozy bed and falling asleep safe and sound. Home is the smell of my mom's famous beef stir fry and taste testing it! Yum!! Home is for firsts, like first steps, first words and just growing up, sometimes it can be scary to grow up, but you will always find your way back home. Home is having your ups and downs and everything in between. I know that my family will always be there for me and showing so much empathy it's like there experiencing it too! Home is hard to describe, so many emotions are going on and so much love fills your home like a cup of hot chocolate. When you think about, we all are so lucky to have a home and a place to go. Home is with family. Thank you Habitat For Humanity for giving this wonderful opportunity to give someone a home, I LOVE mine and I know they will too!
