My meaning of “Home”
Home can be found in many places and forms,
it doesn't matter if it is worn,
or even if you live in a dorm,
home is found in places where you feel warmth.
Home is like an invincible fortress,
That when I leave I feel invisible and formless.
It doesn't matter where you are
Because when you feel unbeatable
That's home where you are.
Home may look like a roof and walls
But it's the place that you can be a goofball
A house may look clean but it can also be full of greed,
So how it looks to others doesn't give it any better
The way you feel in it is the only thing that matters.
Home may smell clean with peace,
Maybe it even makes you smell like a queen,
But even if it smells like meat
If it smells right, it is complete.
Sometimes you can taste smoke in the air
It can be your moms cooking, be prepared
What can she be making? Ask you dare
It can be bad, but it's like a fair
When i'm home I hear stomping,
It is my sister, hastily marching,
It might be noisy, it might be loud,
But when I'm here, I'm quite proud.
Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for giving many others in Canada opportunities to help those in need.
