Home is My Happy Place

Home is much more than a house. It is where my family is, where love never ends and long- lasting memories are made. Home is a place where there are words of encouragement, hugs, snuggles and I love you's. Home is where I can be me. There is no judgement and no meanness. There is only support. Home is not always perfect. There are ups and downs. It can make me happy like when my family and I play board games. Or it can make me sad like when I lost my dog. Home is not just for my immediate family. It is where I can make memories with friends, grandparents and cousins. Home is where I can enjoy the aroma and taste of fresh baking and yummy home-cooked meals. Home, and my thoughts of home, can come with me wherever I go to soothe me if I am sad. Home can be chaotic and loud like a zoo. Home can be calm like a warm summer breeze and quiet like a mouse. Home can be neat and tidy, or it can be messy but either way there is lots of love to go around. Home is my happy place.
