Home is Important to Me
For me, my home is my community. My community has friends and family. When I am in my home, I feel loved. I feel like I am in a warm, cuddly blanket. My home isn’t just a home. It is a place where I feel comfortable and loved. Here are some examples of how I feel when I am at home.
I feel like I am at home when I am at my best friend, Alex’s house. He makes me feel welcomed and happy. We have great times and lots of fun when we are together.
It also feels like home when I am sitting beside my Christmas tree with my family the night before Christmas. We talk about the year and what we might get on Christmas morning.
Home for me is also when I go camping with my family. Sometimes my friends come too. We spend a lot of time together. We go swimming, have campfires, and eat a lot of ice cream. I ride bikes with friends and play a game we made up called snack wars.
I feel at home when I am watching Brooklyn 99 with my sister in the basement. We laugh at all the really funny jokes, and we sneak treats. (Don’t tell my mom and dad)
I feel at home when I play community sports, especially basketball. I love being part of a sports team. with friends from my school and from my neighbourhood we win most times.
Community and people are what home means to me, and everyone deserves a warm and cozy and super happy home.
