That's What Home is

Home means a lot. What does home mean to you? When you take a hike in the beautiful forest, you feel the cool breeze blowing on your face, the breeze reminds you of a fan blowing on you as you eat your favorite snacks and watch tv with your siblings. That's what home is. You see two squirrels chasing each other up a tree, it reminds you of your brothers fighting over the most valued object in the house: the remote control. That’s what home is. A light pecking sound floats by on a current of wind dragging you to the sound. Your eyes dart from place to place looking for the source, you see a little woodpecker pecking away at a tree, it reminds you of the sounds your dad makes while hammering down wood tiles. That’s what home is. A pack of wolves lay by a bushy area eating their food peacefully, it reminds you of eating a delicious dinner with your family in your warm little house. That's what home is. A mother and a baby deer sit on the damp forest floor cuddling each other, it reminds you of when you were a young little child sleeping with your mom. That's what home is. Home is a place filled with love, chaos, and fun, but most importantly, it’s the feeling of having someone around you that loves and cares about you. That’s what home is.
