What Is Home?

Home is a place where I see cows out the kitchen window when I'm doing dishes, where I see the dogs fighting over the fish that the fishers caught, Home is a place where I can smell mom's unwilted homemade chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven, Or a fresh muffin that we get from a loved one, Or the smell of a clean house when we come back from school, or the fresh carrots the come from the garden, And chocolate cake when the chores are done Or the fresh popcorn while we watch our favorite show. Home is a place where I taste the elegant homemade bacon and eggs sandwiches, and the garden food like radishes, or the fresh apples before I go to my practices, And even Home is a place where I hear the train go by from a great distance, or the coyotes barking in the bush and I can't resist it, Even the cows mooing for chop, or the pigs oinking but they're just slops or the loud annoying sound from my alarm clocks. Home is a place where I can feel the snug blanket over top of me while eating Frrrozen Haute Chocolate Ice Cream Or when I relax and snuggle with my dog Max. To all the people who don’t have a home hopefully they will get the money to be safe in their own home. This is what home means to me. Hopefully someday this will be your home!
