The Meaning of Home

Home is a place with love and joy. I feel happy about my home because my family is there. Everyone needs a home with love and comfort. My cats make a lot of noise at night. My dad makes a lot of noise, too, because he gets up and gets a drink at night. My brothers make lots of noise. I can hear George’s dirt bike. I can hear Henry talk. I can hear my mom laugh. On my iPad, I hear music in my names. I smell fresh cookies in the oven, and I taste fresh chocolate chip cookies. My dad smells like grass in the summer. I smell my cats’ kitty litter. When we’re at our trailer, I can smell manure. George’s dirt bike smells like gas. I can also smell shampoo. My mom always puts on a candle, and it smells so good. When I am at home, I feel happy. Sometimes, I can feel sad. When I do feel sad, my mom hugs me and makes me feel happy again. Home is a joyful place.
