The Meaning of Home

My home is a wonderful place. When I get home from school, my dad and my mom greet me. When I come home, my brother and sister and I take off our coats. Then we take off our snow pants and shoes too. My home makes me feel happy. Sometimes it can be stressful though. When it gets too noisy, I can’t concentrate! Things I hear at my home are dogs barking, cats meowing, and sometimes I hear my sister yelling at my brother. Sometimes I hear my brother yelling at my sister. When I hear them yelling, sometimes I hear them slam their doors because they are mad. Also I hear my mom and dad talking. I hear my mom cooking on the stove. It can make a sizzling sound when she cooks potatoes or carrots. My favourite sound in my home is my cat purring. Things I taste in my house are my mom’s homemade mashed potatoes. On Christmas sometimes my mom makes mashed carrots. Sometimes I taste spaghetti, too. My mom makes this kind of bread, it is called sourdough bread. She puts butter on it but she doesn't cut it. She leaves it how it is. We should all have a home. The end
