The Meaning of Home

My house is cozy. It is a good place for playing video games in the basement. When I am home, I usually go downstairs and play video games. I feel happy. I have a few sounds I like to hear in my home. I like to hear my dad come home. I hear him open up the door. My mom says, “Dad’s home!” and there is the clinking sound of the key. My favourite things to eat are dumplings. They are so good. They have meat in them and sauce. I like to eat sushi. I like any sushi with seafood in it. There are a few things I like to smell in my house. I like to smell bacon cooking on the grill. I like to eat the bacon, too. I like to smell candles in my house. My favourite candle is pumpkin spice. My favourite smell in the winter is mint. My home is important to me because I live there. If I didn’t have a home, I would be very cold and not really be able to sleep.
