Home Is Comfort
Sometimes it is hard for me to express how I feel at school, outside at recess and at hockey practice.
At school I feel different when no one wants to be in my group and it is sometimes hard to make friends.
Outside at recess I feel mad when people call me names and don’t want to play with me.
At hockey, I can feel angry when the other team scores. I can feel disappointed when I don’t score a goal.
When I am home I feel really happy and comfortable. My mom tucks me in at night and it makes me feel calm and safe. My sister always loves to play with me and that makes me feel loved and amazing. Home is a place where I can be myself and be appreciated for all the wonderful things that I am.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving people a place where they belong and can be themselves.
