What a Home Is

A home is not just four walls, a home is not the same as a house, a home is where you are loved, it is where you matter. A home doesn't need to be where you live, it can be a hotel room, it can be someone else's home, like I said a home is where you are safe, loved and cared about. I love my home because my family is there. My mom’s family lives nearby, and so does my dad’s family. My neighbors are really nice, my friends live nearby too and I feel love in my home. My home is a place where we talk, play games and gather to celebrate birthdays, New Years, Christmas and more. It can be my home, your home, anyone's home and it's special in many different ways. My home is special because of my mom, my dad, my brother and my cat. They are special because we do fun things together and they make me laugh every day. They are all special to me and that's why my home is special. Someone else's home can be special because of memories, because of family members and other things too. I feel safe when I'm at home. I feel safe because I feel loved and cared for. I feel cared for when I play with my brother. I feel safe when I'm at home with my mom and dad. I also feel safe when I play with my cat and my family. That is why my home is very special to me and I hope your home is very special to you too.
