Home To Me

Home to me is a safe place where I sleep, eat and have family gatherings. I feel loved at home with my family. Home is where the frosty cold cannot bite our noses. My blanket hugs me all around and my head sinks into my pillow. My amazing blue tuque covers my ears, and no cold comes. Sometimes a thunderstorm makes me feel happy. I feel extra safe inside my home. My home protects me from rain, snow and other stuff too. My family is an enormous part of home. When I’m home I feel so loved I could cry. I feel the embrace of mom’s hugs but not just moms, dads too. I hear the sound of mom, dad and Lucas talking. Sometimes me and Lucas arguing. I feel the fluffy fur of my dog’s head and sometimes the gross drool from my dog’s mouth. My family is my home and that’s what matters. Home is where we have our traditions and eat our special foods. Home is where I smell mom’s Rouladen. Dad’s cooked short bread cookies too. I feel my grandma’s and grandpa’s hands touch mine. At home, I see sparkly lights shine in the night I hear the sound of Jingle bells when we celebrate Christmas. I’m too excited to wait for my special traditions. This is why my house is my home. Home is a never-ending place of love. THE END!
