What a Home Means to Me

What Home Means to Me Home is a place where everyone loves each other with all their heart, where the walls are filled with amazing art. Where you and your family hug, and you walk into your home and are greeted with a rug. You might have a clock above to check the time where your family is worth an infinite number of dimes. Where you lay on the lawn and stare at the sky with twinkling stars. Where you play outside and come back in with a couple of scars were you ride down your road on your bike grasping onto the handlebars. Where love is floating in the air, and you're sitting down for supper on a chair and nobody will care if you have messy hair. Home is a safe space and a comfort zone, where you will never feel alone. Where your siblings are running around and you play hide and seek hoping you'll never be found. Home is amazing, especially playing tag with your siblings and when you look behind they'll always be chasing. Where the kids will almost always be behaving. When you say you're hungry your parents will say what are you craving? I wrote about art and the love in your heart. I wrote about hugs and rugs, I wrote about dimes and I wrote about time and I wrote so much more but the most important thing out of this whole poem is my family. By: Blake MacDonald, Grade 5
