This is what home feels like to me

My home is where I hear my dog bark at the people walking by, where my family goes around and sees all of the Christmas lights. Sometimes it doesn’t even matter where you are, it's who you're with. It doesn’t matter how much your house costs because what really matters is what’s in your home. Sometimes it’s the smell of your mom making her homemade pie or your dad cooking bacon on the stove, maybe it’s when you and your sister are doing something fun. For me it is when it’s a Saturday and my family watches hockey on the TV, or when me and my mom make our homemade jam. It could be when you're watching your favorite movie with your family. Home is a place where I can play board games with my family. Home is where my friends come over and we make forts that feel like home. Maybe you live in a cottage or boat, maybe you live in America or Paris. It doesn't matter where you live because you can call any place home. It doesn’t matter how old you are, it's the people that are around for your role models. That is what I think that a home should be like.
