My Home

It is a sunny day, and I'm very hungry. I am very grumpy. My tummy is grumbling. My mom is making dinner. I smell ginger. No wonder. My sister is making cookies. I really like that goodie. My dad comes home from work. I see his smirk. I love my family. We always have a happy day. I rush to hug my dad, and I feel so snug. Before dinner I feed my fish. I add a pinch to his tank. We eat dinner. I can smell the meal being brought towards the dinner table. We thank God we are able to see another day. We eat dinner and it tastes great. After dinner, my sister and I are going for a bike ride. My mom tells us to ride straight. We come back home and hear our family’s kind words. We go upstairs to bed. We say goodnight and wait for our new day to hit. I go to bed. I sit cross-legged thinking of the amazing day I had. I remember my parents always telling me, Be grateful for what you have Because others don’t have amazing things like you do. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making homes like mine! My family and I wish all will have a home just like mine.
