Home is a Home

Walk through a door, a door to a home. What do you see, what do you feel? Sit by a fire, feel the warmth, feel the heat. A cat or a dog might be by the fire. Hug them, kiss them, and give them some love. Go to the table and have a meal, or an after school snack. Walk to your bed, maybe have a nap, or read a book. Play a family game, do a puzzle, play Jenga, Monopoly, Sticks, or 4 in a row. Do you feel the love, do you hear the laughter? Some people live on the streets and some in a house. They don't feel safe, warm, or hear laughter, or feel love. Habitat for humanity is here for all. They can provide the homeless with a house that can become a home. Not all of us can live in a home. That's why you should be grateful. But remember this, you can live in a house, but it is not as special as a home. A home is made of love and hugs.
