A Home Isn't Just A House
Home isn’t just a place to rest your head,
It isn’t only there for a bed.
It shouldn’t just protect you from ice,
It isn’t there only to be nice.
Home is a place of happiness and cheer,
Where family and friends can gather near.
It’s a place to eat big meal around holidays,
And joke and laugh through all our days.
Home is where the heart is, that’s what they say,
I believe it and would like to keep it that way.
Home is where safe and loved,
Where we’re protected and can’t be shoved.
Joy is everywhere in a true home,
Not in a place where sadness can roam.
We eat, we sleep, we love and play,
Home is a place where I want to stay.
