Meaning of Home

Home is a hideaway to run, to hide, to cry. Home is a safe haven after school, after work, after sports. Home is a spot to eat, to play, to sleep. But that’s not all, home is more than just a place, Home is a feeling, an emotion, a sense. Home is a possessor of memories, a creator of experiences, a guide to success. Home is being loved, being cherished, being understood. Home is part of what we are and will stay with us forever. Through the ups and downs of life, through the storms that plague us, through everything. I could never imagine life without a home, and, if all it takes is to write a poem to help a human, a person, a life, I’d be an author. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving me an opportunity to aid the less fortunate, you are truly amazing people.
