Home to Me
Home is not just a roof and a floor.
Home is just so much more.
Home is opening my door and hearing my dog snore.
The roaring sounds of wind. tweeting and chirping birds Just makes me not have to think anymore.
Home is Doing some flips on the gymnastics floor,
Going to hockey games and hearing my brother score. It makes my home mine. Where we laugh so much we can’t breathe anymore. And hearing cold paws scratch on the backyard door.
Where We explore new recipes for dinner,
and play board games where my dad is always the winner and brags then says winner winner chicken dinner.
home is where me and my mom sometimes sing And I can wake up and not have to worry about a thing.
where I hear my dogs paws click on the upstairs floor to say hello,
And see my dog in the kitchen drool as I make jello
Home is where i make snowman in the winter
And see my dog destroy it to make the carrot and blueberries his dinner
when my mom does her weird dancing while making delicious meals
That's when my moms goofy side mostly reveals
where my dog runs and jumps off the deck like a donkey And then runs back a little wonky.
We huddle up in a cozy blanket But my dog comes and yanks it.
Home is where my brother screams when he plays games
then starts to yell his friends names
When my mom hears the yells when me and my brother are play fighting
We eat my dads delicious steak well watching tv fighting
Home is my safe place where I feel fine
When I can feel that's what makes my home mine.
