Bricks and Sticks Versus Memories
A house is just bricks and sticks
But a home is where your memory clicks
In a home you have all your needs
And in a house you have all your structural needs
A home is where your worries go away
And your memories stay at bay
A house is just a structure, and a home
Is where your memories are in a cluster
A home to me is with my mom and dad
A place where I can't get sad
Home is a place where I am loved so dearly
A place where nothing is eerie
When I am near my mom and dad, that is home
And a house has a garden gnome
A home is with my family and where all the memories and love are
A house just has a car
My home is a safe place where I don't have to go at a fast pace
A house is just stuff to make a structure might just be a cluster
A place where my parents cook
And a home is where love won't be shook.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving people a structure
So their memories can start to cluster.
Thank you for listening to my poem
About the difference between a house and a home.
