My Loving Home
My home is a place full of traditions, love, kindness, laughter, food, plants and my shared bedroom with my older sister.
One of the traditions I have is that on Christmas my mom uses old wrapping paper for me and my sister’s presents. She would use new wrapping paper for other people’s presents to make them look better. I think it has become a tradition because she does it every year and she saves paper and helps the Earth. I believe it is the best tradition.
The love shines in my family when we bake chocolate cookies together. We like to add chocolate filling in them because we think it tastes better. The other way my family shows love is when we help each other when we need it. My mom shows love when she helps me study for tests. My mom shows love to my sister when she presents her presentations to my mom and she gives feedback to her. The way my dad shows love to me and my sister is when he helps me and my sister for our homework and the work my mom gives us.
After we get food from Costco, my mom cooks the food. She cooks delicious food like eggs, pork and her famous lemon pepper chicken that fills the air with a delicious smell . While my mom cooks the main meals, my dad cooks the veggies for us. Me and my sister like to help and set up the table before meals. After meals we put the dishes in the sink so that my dad can wash them.
I would like to thank Habitat For Humanity for building homes for people who need it, so they can also have a home filled with love like mine.
