MY WONDERFUL HOME

My home is full of wonderful things! I have a wonderful family too. I have a mother, father and little sister that likes to make me laugh. We all love each other very much because we always help each other. My family has unique traditions we do every year. There is a tradition we do during Christmas. Every Christmas, my mom makes delicious cookies to sell. The cookie flavors are Macha, Chocolate and Plain. All the flavors are different and delicious. There are also different kinds of shapes. There are Christmas trees, Santa hats, stockings and circles. When my mom sells the cookies during Christmas everyone wants to try it. We also have a tradition we do during Chinese New Year. We wear red and gold clothes that are part of our culture. We also decorate our home with shimmering gold and ruby red lanterns. My mother makes delicious Mooncakes shaped like flowers. It is soft and the color is dark golden! During Chinese New Year we exchange red pockets. Inside the red pockets we put money in it and my family usually put a $50 bill inside. We exchange the money with friends and family. In my home I have books that take me to a different world. When I read a book I pretend I am a character from that book. My home is different and unique and it could never be better. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building homes for people who don’t , so other people know what having a home full of wonderful things feels like!
