The True Home
The True Home
What does home mean?
Maybe a place where you reside?
Or a place with four walls and a roof?
Is it where mother’s and father’s hands guide?
Home could be either,
A structure, a place.
Or something less visible,
Like a feeling of safe.
For me it’s a place where,
I’m most loved and looked after.
Not just a structure,
With a roof and rafters.
What do you think a home is?
Most people say “where I live”,
That could be true,
But I think it's more.
It’s the feeling I have,
when I walk through the door.
It’s where I come back to again and again,
To feel safe and loved exactly where I am.
