My Definition of Home

If I were to describe a home, what would it be? Is it the beautiful taste of morning tea, Or the watching of evening sunsets with your family, Well, come along to find out what home is to me! Home, It's a feeling not a place, The feelings that are shared among your family, and even disgrace, A place no matter how big or small, Home is where you cherish it all, Home, The only place where happy laughter is a familiar sound, And oh, the friendly faces you see all around. The place I learned to walk, run, sing, and have fun, And was also taught a special thing called love. Home, A place that’s never too small for love to grow, Because it’s not for what glows but for the love that’s shown. A place I can play and run around with my sister, Or cook special dinners with my favorite mother. Home, Its warmth is hotter than the sun, From daylight till evenings dawn. My home might not be as perfect as you can see, But that’s where my family is so it’s right just for me.
